Tundish magnesia covering agent: It is made from light-burned magnesia powder (MgO ≥ 91%) as the main raw material through processes such as crushing, grinding, primary stirring, secondary stirring, spray granulation, and sieving. The product is in the form of hollow particles.

The functions of the tundish magnesia covering agent are:

(1) Thermal insulation to prevent heat dissipation;

(2) Absorbing floating inclusions (such as Al₂O₃, calcium aluminate);

(3) Isolating air to prevent oxygen in the air from entering the molten steel and eliminating secondary oxidation.
