Also known as brick-making sand. It is produced by the one-step calcination method; magnesite with a certain particle size is selected and calcined in a shaft kiln using coke, anthracite, or ash-free fuel. The calcination temperature is above 1600°C, and the MgO content is between 88-93%. It is a raw material for producing ordinary magnesia bricks and unshaped refractory materials.
